Mendenhall Glacier is a mere 12 miles from downtown Juneau.  It's part of the massive Juneau Icefield that stretches 85 miles north to south and 45 miles east to west.  The scale of Mendenhall is difficult to judge but consider that this video was shot several miles from the glacier.
